Education

Over the past few years one of the significant challenges for Education has been catering. Jamie Oliver and Childhood obesity concerns has triggered this, highlighting the need for healthy food provision in schools.

New legislation and strict guidelines on the provision of school meals and products available within the school were made as a response from the government. For government and parents alike, childhood obesity is still riding high on the agenda, a variety of nutritionally balanced meals which are acceptable with the Food Standard Agency (FSA) has never been more important, with schools receiving great pressure to provide this. Many schools have now introduced additional salad lunchbox options to try to entice pupils to opt in for a school lunch, rather allowing them to bring a packed lunch from home.
