Saffron Adds Spice to Creed – Major Business Development

Creed Foodservice has signed a deal to market the Saffron Nutrition software from Fretwell-Downing Hospitality (FDH) into the care home sector.

In a deal that will help raise the standards of nutrition in small to medium sized care homes, Creed has signed a deal to license the Saffron nutritional analysis software exclusively for three years.  This will enable Creed to offer existing and new customers a specialist tool to help care homes ensure that residents get the highest quality nutrition that they need as part of a healthy balanced diet.

Says Chris Creed, Managing Director Creed Foodservice: “We’ve got a strong track record in working with our care sector customers to develop the menus their residents require, but Saffron enables us to take this a step further.  This new software is easy for catering managers and chefs to use to plan and analyse their menus, checking against nutritional guidelines.  It feeds into our costing and ordering systems, making it simple, fast and accurate for our customers to use.  It’s a ground-breaking move that we are really excited about.”  

The deal means that Creed will market the Saffron product exclusively to the care sector and will open up new channels of business for Creed.
